Trinity Baileyis an aspiring lawyer who currently is a junior at the University of Dayton, majoring in Criminal Justice. She has a passion for volunteering and serving her church and wider community, and is determined to make a positive difference with her chosen profession.
Celeste Didlick-Davis is an associate pastor, family life educator, and a Miami University adjunct professor. She founded 3 R Development, a non-profit, faith-based organization designed to help people to help themselves.
Brandon & Ewaniki Hawkins, a husband & wife team, are co-owners of Soul Palette and co-founders of the C.A.N.V.A.S. Mentoring Program. Its mission is to teach people how to express themselves creatively, heal communities, and empower youth and others through art.
Juliet Jackson is a selfless volunteer extraordinaire who gives not only of her time, but also her money. She feeds the homeless at various soup kitchens, purchases school supplies and clothes for children in need every school year, pays the school fees for those unable to do so, provides furniture for those in need, and spearheads charitable drives.
Dr. Cleaster V. Mims is an author, political activist, and retired teacher, administrator, and chief executive officer. She founded the first Marva Collins Preparatory School in the nation and the first African-American owned international boarding school for 4th through 8thgrade students in Ohio.
A. Shirley Stephens is an educator and tutor who founded the educational program, Imani Family Center, a faith-based non-profit that serves children and families in underserved communities.
Chideha Charles Blount Warnerfounded Fitness3K, and pioneered fitness classes with boxing for all fitness levels from youth to seniors. He has served as a resource with Children’s Hospital, Florentine Gardens (a community transitional and rehabilitation center), and hosts an annual fundraiser for worthy causes.

Annually, the State of Ohio recognizes the service and achievements of Ohio residents and organizations in areas consistent with the teaching and standards set by Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.
The Ohio Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Holiday Commission is pleased to announce that Rev. Deacon Royce Winters has been selected to receive the 2025 Ohio Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Governor's Humanitarian Award. This is a recognition of the award recipient's outstanding commitment to Dr. King's Six Principles of Non-Violence. Deacon Royce was featured in the Catholic Telegraph related to this award.
